Education and Professional Career

After completing her clinical and scientific training in Switzerland and Canada, PD Dr. med. Monika Horisberger spent five years as Head of the Foot Surgery Team at the University Hospital Basel. This role at a tertiary care center allowed her to gain broad expertise, including in complex cases.

Her many years of scientific work sharpened her focus on evidence-based treatment methods, which form the foundation of every therapy, always guided by the latest scientific knowledge.

• 2018: Habilitation at the University of Basel on the pathogenesis and stage-specific treatment of lower limb osteoarthritis
