Prof. Dr. med. Kai Rösler

Prof. Dr. med. Kai Rösler is a specialist in neurology FMH and a specialist in diseases of the peripheral nervous system, muscle diseases, neurological pain syndromes and general neurology.

Prof. Rösler studied medicine in Bern, with stays abroad in Atlanta and Madison (USA). He trained as a neurologist in Bern and Los Angeles. From 1991 to 2018, he worked as a senior physician, later as a senior physician and member of the clinic management at the ENMG ward and the Neuromuscular Center at Inselspital Bern. In this role, Prof. Rösler introduced numerous young colleagues to the field of electro-neuro-myography (ENMG = electrical examination of nerves and muscles), a subject in which he is also scientifically active and in which he enjoys international recognition. In addition to his commitment to diagnostic neurology, Prof. Rösler set up an outpatient consultation for palliative neurology at the Inselspital, where a large number of patients receive interdisciplinary care.

Prof. Rösler is head of the training academy of the Swiss Society for Clinical Neurophysiology and a nationally and internationally sought-after speaker. He has chaired or organized numerous national and international neurological congresses and is also actively involved in patient organizations.
