Studied human medicine in Mainz (DE), licensed to practice medicine in 2007.

Doctorate with Prof. Gutjahr (University Children's Hospital Mainz, 2007) on the topic "Long-term consequences after childhood cancer".

Residency at the University Children's Hospital Frankfurt / Main, obtaining the title "Specialist in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine" in 2012.

After completing his training as a pediatrician, he moved to the Children's Hospital Zurich to specialize in pediatric cardiology.

Subsequently senior physician for pediatric cardiology at the Children's Hospital Zurich for many years with the following main areas of activity

• Inpatient cardiology
• Outpatients and inpatients before and after heart transplantation/chronic or severe heart failure
• Performance diagnostics for congenital heart defects

Research activity in the field of follow-up/heart failure in children after chemotherapy

Habilitation at the University of Zurich 2020.

In addition to his work at Kinderherzen - Center for Pediatric Cardiology, he is also a senior physician in the field of pediatric cardiology at the Children's Hospital of Central Switzerland, Lucerne.

Due to his own past in competitive sports, special interest and experience with cardiac examinations in children and adolescents in sports and general performance diagnostics in children.
