What is psychoeducation?

Psychoeducation is a preventive approach that aims to impart knowledge about child development and develop concrete skills in children and their parents. It enables us to better understand the stages of development, anticipate future challenges and put in place appropriate strategies to support the child's development.

In my practice, psychoeducation translates into support that reinforces children's autonomy in the development of their social-emotional and attentional skills, while equipping parents with concrete strategies to support their child, encourage their natural curiosity and improve family communication.

My philosophy: "Anticipate to better accompany, understand to better support".

Clientele

• Typically developingchildren aged 2 to 12.
• Parents looking for concrete strategies to support their child's autonomous development, encourage their curiosity and interests, and improve family communication.

Consultation methods

• Individual consultations with the child
• Parental consultations (without the child)

Fees

Consultations are not covered by the LAMal.

• Parental consultation: CHF 100 / 30 minutes
• Child consultation: 120 CHF / 40 minutes

Academic background

• Currently a doctoral student in Psychology at the University of Geneva

Research into children's ability to influence adults and how children perceive this influence according to their age.

• Master in Applied Developmental Psychology (2019), University of Geneva
