Dr. med. Beat Muggli

My credo: personal, uncomplicated, close to the patient. This in close cooperation with my team, referring physicians and partners at Lindenhof Hospital.

Before I set up Beat Muggli Surgery, I worked for five years as Clinic Director and Head of Surgery at Tiefenau Hospital and Münsingen Hospital (Insel Group). Before that, I worked for many years as Head of Surgery at Thun Hospital. I am familiar with the Bern region and the Bernese Oberland.

Passing on knowledge is very important to me. That's why I set up the Bernese Surgery Course. Here I can pass on my knowledge and experience to young surgeons.

Before I decided to go into medicine, I completed a commercial apprenticeship. I then studied medicine at the University of Bern. As a junior doctor, I worked in various clinics at Thun Hospital and Inselspital. In 2006, I took on the role of senior physician at Thun Hospital, after which I was head physician there.

As a lecturer at the Center for Medical Education medi (Higher Technical College), I teach clinical medicine and surgery on the course for qualified surgical technicians. I also work as an ATLS (advanced trauma life support) instructor.

As a balance to my medical work, I spend my free time with my family, do sports in nature, enjoy good food, music and theater. As a passionate football fan, I can regularly be found at the stadium.
