### Presentation of the healthcare professional
Dr François Saucy is an FMH specialist in vascular and general surgery. He is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of diseases of the arteries and veins, offering surgical and endovascular approaches tailored to the needs of each patient.
A medical graduate with a doctorate from the University of Lausanne (UNIL), he continued his specialist training in Switzerland before completing a fellowship in a center of excellence for vascular and endovascular surgery at the Henri-Mondor Hospital in Créteil, France. This training enabled him to develop in-depth expertise in modern techniques for treating vascular pathologies.
In the course of his hospital career, Dr. Saucy worked as assistant clinical director and then clinical director at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV), before being appointed associate physician in the Vascular Surgery Department. His practice covers arterial and venous diseases, aneurysms, arterial stenosis, circulation disorders and vascular interventions requiring minimally invasive or surgical techniques.
A board-certified physician at the Ensemble hospitalier de la Côte (EHC) since 2016 and chief physician in the Surgery Department since 2019, he is also involved in university teaching. Privat-Docent and Master of Teaching and Research at the University of Lausanne, he participates in the training of future doctors and develops innovative e-learning programs in vascular surgery.
Highly involved in clinical and fundamental research, Dr. Saucy is the author of numerous scientific publications. His work focuses in particular on vascular diseases and the mechanisms of restenosis, with the aim of improving treatments and long-term outcomes for patients.
