Presentation of the healthcare professional

As aboard-certified urologist, Dr. Alexej Chyhrai combines scientific precision with a clear, patient-centered approach. At the Urologie Opera practice at Goethestrasse 12 (8001 Zurich), the focus is on highly specialized care that goes beyond traditional urology and makes modern medicine accessible to patients.

The clinical approach is based on two pillars: state-of-the-art surgical techniques and proactive prevention. As an experienced surgeon, his focus is on particularly gentle, minimally invasive procedures. These include innovative solutions for enlarged prostate, such as Urolift, the Rezum procedure, the GreenLight laser, as well as the use of prostate stents and bipolar resection (TUR-P). Modern, minimally invasive procedures, including laser therapy, are also used for the removal of kidney stones. The “no-scalpel” vasectomy (male sterilization) rounds out the range of surgical procedures.

A distinctive feature of our treatment approach is the integration of scientifically sound principles of orthomolecular medicine (since 2026). This holistic perspective enables comprehensive diagnosis and therapy, which is particularly effective for complex conditions such as erectile dysfunction or recurrent urinary tract infections. The goal is not only to resolve urological challenges through surgery but also to strengthen vitality and metabolic health in the long term and on an individual basis.

Whether it’s preventive care, urological oncology (tumor therapy), kidney stones, urinary incontinence, or an overactive bladder (e.g., Botox therapy)—we always set aside ample time for a personal consultation and a thorough evaluation. Consultations on andrological issues, such as chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS) or low testosterone, are also conducted on an equal footing. Thanks to our international network and language skills in German, English, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian, smooth communication is guaranteed. Appointments can be booked directly online via OneDoc.
