Dr Matthieu MENGIN is an FMH specialist in UROLOGY, the medical-surgical specialty that treats diseases of the urinary tract in men and women, and of the male genital organs.
He is a surgeon who carries out his operations in private clinics. The most frequent reasons for consultation are urinary disorders related to the prostate, urinary calculi, requests for vasectomy and erectile dysfunction. A large part of a urologist's work involves treating tumours or cancers of the prostate, kidneys or bladder, and sometimes of the testicle.
In emergencies, urinary tract infections (prostatitis, pyelonephritis) or acute urine retention ("bladder globe") are treated. Most often, these problems are related to benign prostatic hypertrophy (prostatic adenoma) or stones in the urinary tract.
__For female urinary pathologies__, such as incontinence or recurrent urinary infections, consultations are unfortunately not possible at Genolier, due to the absence of specific equipment and the need to urinate in a seated position.
In Geneva, it is advisable to have already consulted a gynecologist and to bring a medical letter. To book an appointment, please contact the secretariat directly by telephone rather than via Onedoc.
