Education

After graduating from high school, I studied philosophy at a private university under Alma von Stockhausen in the winter semester of 84/85. This was followed by studies in human medicine at the University of Heidelberg (Germany) from 1985-1992. Towards the end of my studies, I was able to gain valuable clinical experience in Switzerland and the USA. In the USA, I received excellent medical care in the pediatric intensive care unit at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. This was followed by the medical state examination in 1992 and a doctorate at the University of Heidelberg in 1995 with a thesis on the monitoring of cancer therapy with lymphokine-activated killer cells (LAK).

Clinical training from 1993 to 2001

• Treatment of chronic pain patients at the Arkau Clinic in Bad Mergentheim (Germany)
• Conservative orthopaedics at the Hohenlohe Clinic in Bad Mergentheim (Germany)
• Neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation at the Höhenklinik Braunwald/GL
• General and emergency medicine in the family practice of Dr. med. Rolf Schwab; head physician at the Höhenklinik Braunwald/GL

Studied traditional Japanese medicine

• 2001 Japanese medicine with Kampo studies with Dr. Yamaguchi and Dr. Kosuge at the Bay Side Clinic Yokohama/Japan (1 year)
• 2002 Sports traumatology and orthopaedic surgery at Athos Praxisklinik Heidelberg (Germany)
• 2002 to 2006 General practitioner in a TCM group practice in Wetzikon
• 2007 to 2019 General medical practice with a focus on homeopathy and Japanese acupuncture and Kampo

Since 1999 a total of 12 internships with Dr. med. Toshikatsu Yamamoto in Miyazaki Japan (total 3 months).
