Specialist in Pediatric Surgery

Sergio Sesia completed his specialist training in Nancy, France, and at the University Children’s Hospital Basel (UKBB).

From 2011 to 2017, he served as Senior Physician at UKBB, and since 2017, he has been Senior Physician at the University Clinic for Thoracic Surgery at Inselspital, Bern.

In addition to general pediatric surgery, Dr. Sesia specialized in the conservative and surgical treatment of chest wall deformities (pectus excavatum and carinatum) as well as in minimally invasive surgery.

Alongside his clinical work at Inselspital, Dr. Sesia also conducts scientific research at the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).

He is married, father of four children, and has been part of the KTK medical team since June 2020.
