Jalila Bakhala is a speech therapist who assists adults with language, communication, voice or cognitive disorders. Speech therapy is a paramedical specialty dedicated to the evaluation and rehabilitation of difficulties related to oral and written communication, cognitive functions and oro-myo-functional disorders, often linked to neurological or functional pathologies.
Consultations begin with an adult logopaedic assessment, including a medical history, standardized tests, clinical analysis and a written report with a personalized therapeutic plan. Treatment may include aphasia and verbal or non-verbal communication disorders, difficulties in expression and comprehension, as well as cognitive disorders such as attention, memory or executive functions, particularly in a post-hospital or post-neurological context.
Jalila Bakhala is also involved in voice rehabilitation and vocal disorders, such as dysphonia or vocal fatigue, particularly for people using their voice in a professional context. Oro-myo-functional disorders, including atypical swallowing, chewing disorders or mouth breathing, are also among the reasons for consultation.
Care is based on a personalized, caring approach, with coordinated work with prescribing physicians, such as ENT specialists or neurologists. Therapeutic objectives are geared towards functional autonomy and improved quality of life.
