General internal medicine covers the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care of acute and chronic illnesses in adults. General practitioners accompany patients in all health matters, coordinate further investigations if necessary and support them in maintaining their health. The specialist area includes preventive check-ups, vaccination consultations and the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and internal complaints.

Dr. Alexandra Erlebach-Wipf has been working at mediX praxis friesenberg since 2021. She cares for patients across the entire GP and internal medicine spectrum and supports them with acute and chronic health concerns. Her special areas of interest include sports and exercise medicine and the treatment of musculoskeletal complaints, including the health consequences of accidents.

She completed her medical training at the University of Zurich. She then gained clinical experience in the fields of internal medicine, emergency medicine, pneumology, orthopaedics and surgery. As part of the GP curriculum at the University Hospital of Zurich, she also deepened her knowledge in the specialist fields of ear, nose and throat medicine, rheumatology and dermatology. In addition, she continues to undergo further training, including in sonography and sports medicine.
