Dr. Isabelle C. von Faber-Castell is experienced in the full spectrum of internal medicine and has cared for both outpatient and inpatient populations. After completing her medical studies at the renowned Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, she spent two years as a resident in General Internal Medicine at the Cantonal Hospital Aarau, followed by another two years at the Triemli City Hospital in Zurich. Her training focused on emergency medicine, intensive care, cardiology, hematology, and oncology.

She completed her elective year as a cardiology resident at the University Hospital Zurich and as a nuclear medicine resident at the University Hospital Basel.

During her time in cardiology, she worked in outpatient clinics (general, rhythmology, and heart failure), as well as in semi-/inpatient settings (day clinic, chest pain unit, intermediate care unit). She also served for six months as a cardiology consultant and on-call physician.

In nuclear medicine, she developed expertise in image interpretation (with a focus on cardiac imaging using PET/CT and SPECT/CT and thyroid sonography), as well as in planning and administering nuclear medicine therapies (with a focus on treating neuroendocrine tumors, pancreatic cancer, and benign and malignant thyroid diseases).

In January 2023, as part of a stay abroad, she began working remotely in telemedicine (consultations in German, French, and English) for Medgate from Toronto.

In April 2024, Dr. I. C. von Faber-Castell opened her General Internal Medicine and Family Medicine practice within the interdisciplinary practice community von Faber-Castell.
