There, he spent a year rotating in the cardio-vascular intensive care unit, caring for critically ill patients, mostly before or after heart surgery. He then continued his specialist training at a clinic focused on palliative, rehabilitative, and geriatric medicine (Susenberg Clinic). After that, he returned to the University Hospital Zurich to work in the Department and Polyclinic of General Internal Medicine, with assignments in the outpatient clinic, emergency department, and inpatient wards. He completed his specialist training at the Limmattal Hospital, including several locum positions in general practice and a multi-month rotation in a group family practice. In 2015, he successfully passed the specialist examination in General Internal Medicine (FMH) in Basel. In January 2017, Mr. Hohendorf began his ambulatory general practice career at ACAMED in order to view the human being as a whole and support patients throughout their health journey.
