Dipl. med. Henning Hohendorf 

Henning Hohendorf, M.D., is aboard-certified specialist in General Internal Medicine (FMH), a family physician, and the site director of the ACAMED Medical Center in Zurich-Luchswiesen. He cares for patients in all areas of family medicine and supports them with acute symptoms, chronic conditions, and preventive care.

General Internal Medicine encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care of diseases in adults. The range of services provided by a family physician includes, among other things, preventive examinations and check-ups, vaccinations, the evaluation of general symptoms, and long-term management of chronic conditions. The treatment of the flu and other infections, urinary tract infections, and the evaluation of sleep disorders are also among the common tasks of general internal medicine.

After completing his medical studies in Hamburg, Henning Hohendorf gained experience in various healthcare systems in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. His medical career first took him to the University Hospital of Zurich, where he worked in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery and the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Later in his residency, he worked at the Susenberg Clinic, focusing on palliative care, rehabilitation, and geriatrics, as well as at the Department of General Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of Zurich. He completed his further training at Limmattal Hospital, gaining additional experience in a group practice of family physicians. Since 2017, he has been working as a family physician at ACAMED, providing outpatient medical care to patients.

Henning Hohendorf speaks German and English and understands Swiss German. His practice focuses on preventive checkups, flu vaccinations, the treatment of respiratory and urinary tract infections, and the evaluation of sleep disorders.
