Dr. Jean-Pierre Rieder 

Dr Jean-Pierre Rieder, a specialist in general internal medicine, hails from Geneva, where he obtained his medical degree in 1998. He has developed solid expertise in adult hospital medicine throughout his career in French-speaking Switzerland.

His background covers general medicine, rheumatology and oncology, enriched by a global and holistic approach drawn from his experience in adult and geriatric psychiatry.

Committed to working with vulnerable populations, he worked for seven years in the Department of Community Medicine at the HUG, notably in prison medicine and as part of the health program for migrants, before setting up in private practice in 2013 with a major Geneva medical group.

In 2024, after 11 years devoted to caring for his patients while managing two large medical centers in succession, he chose to pursue his activity in family medicine and general internal medicine by joining the Centre Médical Thônex Santé, where he works closely with Dr. Benkabouche's team.

Alongside his clinical activities, Dr. Rieder has been a clinical lecturer at the University of Geneva's Faculty of Medicine since 2013. He has contributed to 14 nationally and internationally recognized scientific publications on general health and infectious diseases in prisons.
