Dr. med. Tanja Grandinetti 

I was born in Liestal at the end of the 1970s and grew up in Lausen. I attended primary school there and went on to complete secondary school at the gymnasium in Muttenz. My interests in the arts and medicine initially led me to attend art school in Basel before beginning my medical studies. Alongside my studies, I worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Basel and remained in clinical research for over ten years. As a Clinical Research Associate, I frequently collaborated with partner companies in Asian regions and gained experience working and learning in hospitals across Italy, France, and Germany.

Completing my medical degree enabled me to begin my clinical career in internal medicine at the University Hospital in Basel. During my specialist training, I also completed a scientific doctorate and received my PhD.

In addition to my interests in art and travel, Traditional Chinese Medicine is a particular passion of mine. I am fluent in German, Italian, English, and French. Currently, I continue to work part-time in the emergency department at the University Hospital of Basel.
