The most common include redness and pain at the injection site, temporary headaches and fever. Whether or not you are vaccinated against HPV, regular cervical cancer screening is highly recommended. Two main tests are available: a Pap smear, which detects potential cell abnormalities in the cervix, and an HPV test, which identifies high-risk HPV strains.
