My name is Melissa Roy. I am a psychologist and psychotherapist in training, and I see children, adolescents, and adults in my practice.
After completing my university studies, I chose to specialize in the psychoanalytic approach.
I support patients as they discover and understand themselves and explore their inner world. During sessions, patients are supported through words, play, drawing, and other methods to express their concerns, conflicts, and needs.
My professional career began working with children, adolescents, and young adults in institutional settings, hospitals, and correctional facilities.
I later added private practice to my career, which allowed me to broaden the scope of my care, particularly in the areas of parenting and adult therapy.
I received training in psychotraumatology. This approach takes into account potentially traumatic life events and their relationship to psychological difficulties. One of the therapeutic goals is to help patients understand the mechanisms associated with trauma, as well as to stabilize and activate their internal resources.
In early 2025, I joined the Psy and Co team in Nyon and Geneva Gare.
