Who am I?

Andrea Leila Fiorentino is an FSP-certified psychologist. They specialize in psychotraumatology and sexology as part of their continuing education and practice a critical and socially engaged form of psychology that incorporates feminist, queer, and decolonial approaches.

They see clients at the SexopraxiS practice, located at Rte de la Clochatte 7, 1052 Mont-sur-Lausanne, and work with young adults, adults, couples, and families.

For them, the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of all care. It is this authentic connection that gives therapy its value. Their role is to accompany you on your journey, to navigate your challenges together and discover new tools, as well as life stories that resonate with you and help you move forward.

They practice using an integrative and psychosocial approach that goes beyond mere symptoms. They analyze suffering by taking into account the full context of your life and your socioeconomic environment. Their training in a transcultural approach enables them to effectively support people from all walks of life, taking into account beliefs, cultures, and personal values to create, together, a path that makes sense to you.

Who can I support?

They support young adults and adults going through periods of uncertainty or difficulty. Their support is aimed at helping people facing emotional, relational, or mental health challenges. Their work may include addressing stress, anxiety, trauma, sleep disorders, or relationship difficulties, using therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual’s needs.

Their approach is suited to anyone going through a “paradigm shift”—whether it involves migration, a major life change, a period of transition and/or personal renewal, or any other stage that may upend or lead to a loss of bearings.

They also support those facing challenges with social integration, whether at the community or interpersonal level. Their experience also enables them to work specifically with people from immigrant backgrounds, those experiencing social disconnection, or those who have been uprooted.

Their scope of practice also extends to couples and families, whether they are navigating a relational or sexual crisis or dealing with major changes within the family unit.

As a non-binary person who has worked for years with the LGBTQIA+ community in the nonprofit sector, they are committed to creating a caring and non-judgmental space where you can be heard. They can support you throughout your transition journey (whether social, intimate, or medical), if you are questioning your sexual or romantic orientation, if you are facing systemic discrimination, or if those around you reject your identity. Their goal is to provide a safe and affirming space for: queer people, those who are questioning, or those wishing to explore their gender identity, sexual orientation, or romantic orientation. At the heart of their approach is self-affirmation, with an emphasis on gender and sexual euphoria.
