Dr. Beatrice Maxi Borchard, M.D., works as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy at her practice, MINERVAMED, in Baden (CH), as well as online through her burnout prevention program. She combines conventional medicine with orthomolecular medicine (micronutrient therapy), hypnosis, mindfulness techniques, and strategies for burnout prevention.
Her focus is on “Nutritional Psychiatry” and “Metabolic Psychiatry” (e.g., [Metabolic Psychiatry](https://www.metabolicpsychiatry.com/) by [Uma Naidoo, MD—Harvard Health](https://www.health.harvard.edu/authors/uma-naidoo-md)), strengthening the gut-brain axis, stress regulation, and individualized prevention strategies. She works using a personalized approach that incorporates sleep, nutrition, relaxation techniques, yoga/breathing exercises, and interdisciplinary collaborations (bodywork, breath therapy, massage, nutritional counseling, etc.). Treatments are conducted in person at the practice or conveniently via video.
__Billing:__ Psychiatric__consultations__ are billed through basic health insurance (ZSR: M9399.19) and are covered after deducting the annual deductible and copayment. Orthomolecular medicine, nutritional psychiatry, and metabolic psychiatry are billed through supplemental insurance. Please verify whether your supplemental insurance covers orthomolecular medicine before booking an appointment. You will be billed directly for these services.
