## Dr. med. Karin Peuschel
Education and training
Dr. Karin Peuschel studied medicine and molecular biology at the University of Zurich and completed her doctorate in ophthalmology at the University of Zurich. She completed her clinical training in Eastern Switzerland, Ticino and French-speaking Switzerland in various disciplines (surgery, anesthesia, neurosurgery, anatomy, psychiatry) and also worked in research in molecular biology (University of Zurich). She subsequently completed her training in psychiatry and psychotherapy. Since 2016 she has been working independently in psychiatry and psychotherapy in the city of Zug.
Professional experience
She has published several articles and given lectures in the field of molecular biology, pharmacology, psychiatry and psychotherapy and has served as a reviewer of articles, speaker and member of conference committees.
She has published articles on the indirect antiviral effect of propranolol, in prion research, on hemochromatosis, has developed a megaprimer PCR and a new equation for DNA renaturation. She has also discovered a new drug therapy for dementia and subsequently developed a new theory of dementia therapy and extended this to other neurological diseases (unpublished). She has also discovered and published a new drug therapy for chronic skin lesions with propranolol, which are normally difficult to treat.
Since 2011, she has developed a new psychotherapy for addictive disorders, dissociative disorders, psychosomatic disorders, unconscious defense mechanisms and psychogenic pain (partly unpublished).
