Dr. med. Gertraud Eylert 

Dr. med. univ. Gertraud Eylert, MSc, PhD, FEBOPRAS is a federally certified specialist in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery and a member of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS). Her particular area of expertise is the treatment of scars, burns, and burn-related complications in adults and children.

Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery focuses on restoring and improving form, function, and skin texture following injuries, burns, surgeries, or disease-related changes. Depending on the findings, conservative, minimally invasive, regenerative, or surgical procedures are used.

Dr. Eylert specializes in the treatment of burned and scarred skin. The range of treatments extends from acute burns and scalds—including intensive care—to the treatment of complex scars resulting from accidents, surgeries, and other injuries, as well as keloids. The focus is on functional restoration, improving mobility, aesthetic correction, and the regenerative improvement of skin quality.

Another area of focus is regenerative therapeutic approaches. Dr. Eylert earned a Master of Science in Regenerative Medicine (MSc) and a Ph.D. in the field of skin and scar regeneration using cell therapy. Her professional training and scientific work have taken her to specialized centers in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Austria, and Switzerland. These include, among others, the Fiona Stanley Hospital and the Perth Children’s Hospital, the University of Toronto, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Medical University of Graz, the University Hospital of Zurich, the Inselspital in Bern, and the University Children’s Hospital of Zurich. In Vienna, she further developed her expertise in aesthetics, with a focus on facial aesthetics and natural restoration.

Patients receive long-term care as needed. Specialized skin analyses can complement the assessment and treatment planning. Dr. Eylert also collaborates with a national and international network of specialists from various medical disciplines.
