My Career

Already during my medical studies it was clear to me that plastic surgery would be my specialty – a field that fascinates through its enormous variety, precision and interdisciplinary approach. My entry into neurosurgery at Inselspital Bern was the first step into an exceptionally diverse career path.

My structured training as a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery took me through stations in General Surgery and Hand Surgery at Stadtspital Triemli Zurich, intensive care medicine at Inselspital Bern and hand surgery at CHUV Lausanne. I focused my specialization at renowned centers such as LaClinic Montreux (Dr. Michel Pfulg), Inselspital Bern and the University Clinic CHUV Lausanne under the experienced guidance of Prof. Dr. Wassim Raffoul.

I gained in-depth knowledge and inspiration through international advanced training – including at Columbia University in New York and in Paris – which further enriched my surgical and scientific expertise.

In 2020/21, I completed a two-year internationally recognized additional training in Aesthetic Medicine at the Collège International de Médecine Esthétique in Paris. This deepened my knowledge of minimally invasive, regenerative and non-surgical procedures – including PRP (platelet-rich plasma therapy), botulinum toxin, fat grafting, chemical peels and state-of-the-art laser treatments. With this holistic approach, I accompany my patients individually – whether through aesthetic surgery or alternative medical treatments.

As senior physician, I am now jointly responsible for the Department of Aesthetic Surgery and Aesthetic Medicine at the University Clinic CHUV Lausanne, which was ranked by Newsweek in 2024 as one of the top 15 clinics worldwide. I was significantly involved in the establishment of the Centre Universitaire de Médecine Esthétique et Régénérative (CUMER) – a unique university platform that combines cutting-edge aesthetics with academic teaching.

I am the author of several scientific articles in international journals, including on laser therapy and the management of complex aesthetic procedures.

In 2023, I was elected to the board of the Swiss Laser Society FMCH, where I actively contribute to quality standards and the further development of aesthetic laser medicine.
