__Valerie Angermayr is a physical therapist and an Advanced MED Q-level Spiraldynamik specialist.__ She has been working as a Spiraldynamik physical therapist in Rapperswil since 2024 and also practices at the Spiraldynamik Med Center in St. Gallen. In addition, she teaches yoga and contemporary dance to people aged 60 and older.
“Movement is life—life is movement!”
Physical therapy helps people manage pain, limited mobility, and functional issues of the musculoskeletal system. Through targeted exercises, movement training, and manual treatment techniques, mobility, strength, coordination, and body awareness—among other things—can be improved. The goal is to help patients understand movement patterns and adapt them individually to their daily lives and personal activities.
Movement and the functioning of the human body have been a part of Valerie Angermayr’s life for many years. Her interest in creative expression first led her to contemporary dance and later to studying physical therapy. In her therapeutic work, she combines knowledge from both fields and uses Spiraldynamik as a bridge between anatomical understanding, body awareness, and movement.
Spiral Dynamics is an anatomically oriented movement and therapy concept that views the body in its three-dimensional organization. It helps individuals become more aware of movement habits and improper loading and develop functional movement patterns. Valerie Angermayr guides her patients in experiencing movement in a more nuanced way and gradually integrating new strategies into their daily lives.
She places a special focus on body awareness. Understanding one’s own body can help individuals perform movements more consciously and efficiently, better assess physical stress, and support long-term changes in movement behavior.
Her experience as a yoga instructor and dance educator also informs her work. She combines movement, body awareness, and creative learning with individually tailored physical therapy support.
