### Presentation of the healthcare professional
My name is Alexandre Kaspar, and I am a pediatric physical therapist.
I earned my degree in physical therapy in Lausanne in 2016.
I practiced for 7 years at the HIB in Payerne.
I worked in various departments, including orthopedics, general medicine, pediatrics, and intensive care. In 2019, I earned an inter-university degree in pediatric physical therapy from Paris Descartes University.
Since then, I have been able to apply this knowledge at the HIB, which has helped foster closer collaboration between the pediatrics and physical therapy departments. As a result, I became the lead physical therapist for pediatric physical therapy. I also had the opportunity to work in the neonatal unit at the HFR during my civil service.
In 2023, I joined the perinatal center in Lausanne on a part-time basis. I also work part-time at the Cécil Clinic.
After two years at the perinatal center, I will be moving to Paudex starting September 1, 2025.
It has always been my goal to ensure that every child can reach their full potential. I see it as my duty to help them reach their full potential. They are often underestimated, but they have far more resources than we realize. They may seem fragile at times, but their determination and the way they perceive the world enable them to overcome the obstacles in their path.
My role is to help them find the path to overcoming these obstacles more easily. In some situations, physical therapy alone is not enough, and I am happy to recommend the involvement of other healthcare professionals. It is often through an interprofessional approach that we achieve the best results.
