### Presentation of the healthcare professional
__Maxence Buatois, physical therapist and sports physical therapist,__ welcomes you to __Espace Voltaire__ for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and functional rehabilitation.
After graduating from the University of Liège in 2022, I began my professional career in Fribourg in 2022 with a strong foundation in __general__ physical therapy, including __respiratory__, __orthopedic, neurological, and trauma-related__ physical therapy __.__ At Espace Voltaire, I offer personalized care tailored to your needs and at your own pace. Whether you’re recovering from __an injury__, experiencing __muscle or jointpain__ , dealing with respiratory, neurological, or __postural__ issues __, or__ recovering from surgery, I’ll provide you with a variety of techniques: __manual therapy, strengthening exercises, stretching, and personalized advice tailored__ to patients of all ages.
Having trained in 2024 as a sports physical therapist, I’m particularly well-suited to working with __athletes.__
Having been passionate about sports since I was a child, I’ve incorporated my knowledge into my rehabilitation programs to make them as effective as possible. I’ve practiced judo (4 years), basketball (4 years), swimming (15 years), table tennis, badminton, tennis, fitness (6 years), and CrossFit (2 years). This experience allows me to be comfortable with athletic movements. I also use taping and scraping techniques.
I use a new and highly innovative treatment method, supported by numerous scientific studies, based on blood flow restriction. This method is made possible by __BFR__ (blood flow restriction), which is highly recommended for various lower-limb conditions such as __patellofemoral syndromes__ (patellar chondropathy), __ACL or PCL tears__, knee __ligament sprains__, __meniscus__ conditions, and it can even be used following certain knee surgeries.
I also specialize in rehabilitation for __running-related__ injuries __:__

- Importance of __Footwear__
- Diagnosis of lower limb conditions.
Currently, in collaboration with the Servette Rugby Club, I have integrated various skills in sports, orthopedic, and trauma physical therapy. I have also developed expertise in on-field care, validated by the __ICIR (__ Immediate Care in Rugby) training program in March 2026.
I continue to pursue further training to offer you the best possible treatment—for example, by beginning a specialization in __dry needling__ in 2026.
