  • General physiotherapy
  • Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Sports physiotherapy
  • Functional rehabilitation, prevention and exercise conditioning

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession specializing in the management of pain, movement disorders and functional limitations. Physiotherapy is aimed at both sedentary patients and amateur or elite athletes, with the aim of reducing pain, restoring function, preventing injury and optimizing physical performance.

Treatment in musculoskeletal physiotherapy focuses in particular on low back pain, neck pain, joint pain, tendinopathy, sprains, muscle injuries and the aftermath of orthopedic surgery (knee, hip, shoulder, ankle).

In sports physiotherapy, support is specifically adapted to the demands of physical activity:

  • rehabilitation after sports injury,
  • gradual resumption of training,
  • reathletization,
  • prevention of recurrence,
  • improving economy of movement and motor control.

Each patient benefits from an individualized clinical assessment, based on analysis of movement, mechanical constraints and load factors. Treatment is based primarily on active therapeutic exercises, supplemented where necessary by manual therapy, targeted strengthening, mobility, stability and functional endurance work. Patient education is at the heart of the approach, to ensure lasting results.

Reimbursement and fees

Physiotherapy sessions with a medical prescription are covered by the LAMal, in accordance with the legal conditions in force in Switzerland.

Physiotherapy consultations without a medical prescription, as well as prevention, coaching, sports follow-up, advanced reathletization or performance optimization services, are not reimbursed.

Non-reimbursed physiotherapy sessions are billed at between CHF 70 and CHF 150, depending on the duration of the consultation and the nature of the intervention.
