Until recently,[__physiotherapist Martin Christener__](https://www.wellsanabasel.ch/team-wellsana-basel/martin-christener/) ran his own practice in Basel. His professional career began on stage: during his four-year performing arts degree in Hamburg, he gained a deep understanding of body language, expression and movement through singing, dancing and acting. After several years on various stages and dealing with his own physical injuries, his interest in the deeper connections between movement, healing and body awareness grew. This is how he found his way into physiotherapy - a decision that combined his passion for the human body with sound medical knowledge. He completed his training as a qualified physiotherapist in Bad Krozingen. Since then, his therapeutic work has been characterized by professional competence and empathy, especially when dealing with complex medical complaints. He has deepened his knowledge through numerous further training courses, including in manual therapy according to Maitland and at the Vollmer Osteopathic Academy.
