Consultation
For many everyday health issues, your pharmacist is an accessible first point of contact—no doctor’s referral needed.
Common reasons for consultation: earache, urinary tract infection, pink eye, itchy skin, acne flare-up, sore throat, and difficulty swallowing.
After a confidential consultation in our dedicated areas, the pharmacist will assess your situation and recommend appropriate care. Depending on the case, certain prescription medications may be dispensed. If necessary, you will be referred to a doctor.
Estimated duration: between 15 and 45 minutes.
Prevention
Our teams also support you with various preventive measures, including tests, measurements, and screenings performed directly in the pharmacy by your pharmacist.
Cholesterol screening: Measurement of cholesterol levels using a drop of blood from your fingertip, with immediate results and interpretation by the pharmacist.
Cardiotest: A cardiovascular riskassessment combining blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose levels, and certain personal factors, with a risk profile provided and a referral to a doctor if necessary.
Diabetes monitoring with blood glucose and/or HbA1c testing: Measurement of blood sugar levels, for screening or for monitoring an existing diagnosis of diabetes.
Blood Pressure Measurement: Blood pressure check, either as a one-time assessment or as part of regular monitoring, with advice tailored to your situation.
Colorectal cancer screening: After a brief consultation with your pharmacist, you will receive a stool test kit along with the necessary instructions. The sample is collected at home and then sent to the laboratory. Available by invitation from the Canton of Geneva as part of the cantonal screening program, upon a doctor’s recommendation, or on your own initiative.
Estimated duration: between 15 and 45 minutes.
