Dr. med. Melanie Baumgardt 

Born and raised on the beautiful Baltic Sea, I moved to Regensburg, Leipzig and Berlin to study. I completed my medical studies in 2007 and followed my then still small family to Zurich. I wrote my dissertation in neonatology at the University Hospital Zurich under the supervision of Prof. Bucher and also began my clinical training as a pediatrician there in 2008. From 2009-2015, I continued my training at the Children's Hospital Zurich in various departments. Through a CAS in developmental pediatrics (2015/16), I also deepened my knowledge of specific issues relating to child development. My passion for practice medicine was awakened at the pediatric practice Dres. Thomann and Geiser in Schlieren, where I worked as a junior doctor in 2015. In 2016-2017, I gained further valuable insights into practice operations at the Kinderarztzentrum Kloten, the Kinderpraxis Uster and Sihldoc4Kids AG.

However, my most important teachers are probably my own children Gàbor (2004), Jonna (2006) and Selma (2011). I live with them and my partner in the heart of Zurich.
