### Presentation of the healthcare professional
__I am a physician with a practice oriented towards child and adolescent psychiatry__, specializing in __neurodevelopmental disorders__ as well as __learning disabilities__.
Due to the current high demand in the network, I am unfortunately unable to accept __new patients for follow-ups or assessments__ in general, as it is important for me to be able to continue to offer attentive, quality care to my current patients.
For __check-ups or requests for follow-up/introduction of medication,__ I do, however, __regularly__ open __certain consultation slots__. Whenever possible, I give priority to referrals from __professionals in the network__ - notably __pediatricians, teachers, educators__ and others involved.
There is currently a __waiting period__. However, I do not set up an __official waiting list__, as I am not in a position to ensure sufficiently reliable and rigorous follow-up. When a request is sent to me, I may __keep__ it __and come back to it later__ if a place becomes available, but this does not mean that I am on a formal waiting list.
If I am not available at the time of your request, please do not hesitate to contact __other colleagues in the region__, so as not to delay a potentially useful assessment or treatment.
I'm truly sorry about this situation. I know how great the needs are right now, and how stressed the network is. I do my best to respond to requests, especially when situations seem most urgent.
