Paul welcomes you at Osteopathie des Remparts where he practices osteopathic care. He works there as an independent osteopath under his own responsibility.
Directions
The entrance is on the right-hand side of the C&A building at Rue des Remparts 13, 2 minutes from the station and 30 seconds from the Place d'Arme parking lot. Once through the glass door, you can either walk up to the 4th floor, or take the elevator at the end of the corridor. Take a seat in the waiting room, and I'll come and get you.
Disabled access
Despite the attendant, there are still 10 steps to take to enter the practice. For people with reduced mobility who are unable to negotiate these steps, Paul is happy to come to your home for treatment. Please contact him by e-mail.
Practice
Paul is an independent osteopath and member of the Swiss Federation of Osteopathy (FSO-SVO). He offers osteopathic care focused on your biopsychosocial needs. He works with you in partnership, placing great importance on your values, priorities and goals. He takes the time to understand you and work with you to find solutions to your complaints. He focuses on how you experience your disorder, the meaning you give it and the context in which it arose. Using movement and touch, he then seeks to help you understand yourself better, so that you can manage and overcome your symptoms. Thanks to his experience and knowledge, he knows that the real expert on your body is you!
Insurance coverage
Paul holds the SuisseOstéo (FSO-SVO) and RME labels, which means that he can usually be covered by all complementary insurances that include osteopathy. He is also on the list of practitioners covered by Visana.
Please contact your insurance company to find out how you will be reimbursed. Your insurance company will reimburse you on presentation of your bill.
Tariff
In accordance with supplementary insurance tariff 590, billing is in 5-minute increments. The rate applied is CHF 13.00 per unit, i.e. usually CHF 130.00 for a 50' session. Consultations are paid for at the end of each session.

Paul Vaucher's professional background
Paul qualified as an osteopath in 2002 and obtained his CDS state equivalence in 2009. He initially worked in a group practice in Areuse for 8 years, while becoming involved in research and ethics. In 2006, he obtained a certificate in health law from the University of Neuchâtel, followed in 2008 by a master's degree in clinical research from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Disease. Working in parallel for Unisanté in community medicine research, Paul then became interested in social epidemiology and psycho-social stressors, before committing himself full-time to research from 2010 to 2014 to obtain a PhD in neuroscience from the Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva. From 2015 to 2021, Paul was Professeur Ordinaire HES at the Haute Ecole de Santé de Fribourg to run an osteopathic research laboratory and set up the teaching of informed practice in the new osteopathic training. He currently works in the clinic three days a week at the Ostéopathie des Remparts practice, and devotes the remaining two days to teaching and research.
Academic career
Paul is the author of over 60 original scientific articles and has become an international academic reference in osteopathy. He is associate editor of Int J Osteopath Med, associate editor of Mains Libres, scientific advisor to the Swiss Osteopathic Science Foundation, member of the FSO Council of Ethics and member of the COME Central Committee. He is accredited in pedagogy by the University of Geneva and the HES-SO. He is currently visiting professor at Health Sciences University (UK).

Data protection
When you consult Paul Vaucher, he is responsible for protecting your data. Your privacy is very important to him. Your data is securely stored on a hard disk in the practice, with a daily remote copy. Only practitioners in the practice have access to it, with your consent. Your administrative data from OneDoc are made available to the secretariat (appointment booking with access to the diary, your address and telephone number). The computer specialist may have temporary access to the data for system updates. This is done while ensuring the security of the data, without him accessing it directly, and the data is destroyed on his side after use. All information transmitted by e-mail is secured with a personalized decryption key sent to you by SMS. You can of course request a copy of your file at info(at)osteopole.ch.
