What is Osteopathy?

Behind the Greek compound word for "bone" and "disease" lies a holistic healing method that is widespread in the United States but is also becoming increasingly popular here.

Conventional doctors can detect almost any disease with high-tech equipment. Osteopaths, however, take a different approach.

They meet their patients with empty but active hands. An osteopath seeks the root causes of illnesses by palpating bones, joints, muscles, tissues, nerves, arteries, veins, lymphatic vessels, and organs in order to detect dysfunctions or pathological changes. The patient’s medical history and personal circumstances also play a crucial role.

The goal of treatment is to become pain-free!

The human body consists of about two-thirds fluid:

• Blood,
• Lymph,
• Digestive juices,
• Intracellular fluid,
• Synovial fluid,
• Secretions in hormonal glands
