### Presentation of the healthcare professional
Dr. Marc Maurer has a broad range of surgical experience. After years of versatile basic training in general surgery, he became increasingly interested in problems of the musculoskeletal system. After qualifying as a specialist in surgical orthopaedics and traumatology in 2000, he increasingly focused on foot and ankle disorders in addition to treating hip and knee problems. From 2006 to 2015, he set up a foot consultation at Winterthur Cantonal Hospital as head physician. In his private life, he finds peace and balance in history, literature, golf and biking in nature and the mountains.
