Dr Romain Desmarchelier is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system. Chief Physician at EHC's Orthopedics and Traumatology Department since 2018, he is responsible for the diagnosis, surgical treatment and follow-up of pathologies affecting joints, bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Trained at Lariboisière Saint-Louis University in Paris, he completed his specialization at Lyon University Hospital, renowned for its expertise in orthopedic surgery. After several years of training and hospital activity, he worked as head of clinic and then deputy head of department at the Centre Hospitalier Lyon Sud, where he developed in-depth experience in prosthetic surgery, sports surgery and the management of polytrauma patients.
Dr. Desmarchelier specializes in hip and knee prosthetic surgery, including complex primary and revision procedures. He also treats rheumatic and hemophilic arthropathies. His expertise also extends to sports surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and the treatment of musculoskeletal trauma.
