Dr. Michele Palazzuolo 

Dr. Michele Palazzuolo is an orthopedic and trauma surgeon specializing in hip and pelvic surgery, with advanced training in both joint preservation and prosthetic hip replacement procedures. He completed a prestigious fellowship in Australia at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Hollywood Private Hospital in Perth, where he perfected minimally invasive techniques and complex revision surgeries, with a focus on joint preservation or replacement surgery in young patients and athletes.

Dr. Palazzuolo has also worked at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) in Lausanne, one of the world's leading teaching hospitals, repeatedly ranked among the top 10 worldwide, and holds a doctorate in medicine from the University of Lausanne (UNIL).After graduating with honors and honorable mention in Medicine from the University of Pavia, he completed his residency in orthopedics in Switzerland, earning FMH certification in Orthopedics and Traumatology with one of the highest scores nationwide. He is also a member of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (FEBOT), a prestigious international award given only to selected surgeons who have passed the European board exam.

Dr. Palazzuolo is one of the few orthopedic surgeons with direct clinical and scientific experience in resurfacing (resurfacing) of the hip, including with a minimally invasive anterior approach. He has specific expertise in complex joint preservation procedures, particularly for the treatment of hip dysplasia and femoro-acetabular conflict (FAI). He is actively involved in clinical research, with several publications in international indexed journals and numerous presentations as a speaker at European and world orthopedic congresses.He is currently involved in international research projects using state-of-the-art 3D imaging to explore the correlation between pelvic morphology and lower extremity alignment in order to optimize hip implant placement.

He is fluent in Italian, English, and French and is known for his personalized approach to patient care and for integrating cutting-edge technologies-such as 3D planning, computer-assisted surgery, and minimally invasive techniques-into clinical practice with the goal of providing effective surgical solutions tailored to each patient.
