Dr. Sylvia Morgado Piçarra

Dr Sylvia Morgado Piçarra is an FMH specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology.

Orthopedics is a medical specialty dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system: bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Traumatology focuses on the management of injuries and fractures resulting from accidents or physical exertion. Treatment is either conservative or surgical, with the aim of restoring function to the affected limb (mobility, stability) and relieving pain.

Dr. Sylvia Morgado Piçarra completed her medical studies at the University of Lausanne and her postgraduate surgical training at the CHUV. She has solid expertise in knee surgery, having held the position of university clinical head of the knee ligament team, followed by a two-year specialized fellowship in conservative and prosthetic knee surgery. She has been accredited and operating on her clinic patients (regardless of their insurance class) since September 2023.
