Dr. Geoffroy Barbier 

Dr Geoffroy Barbier is an FMH specialist in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system.

After obtaining his medical degree in 2008, he completed most of his orthopaedic training in Fribourg. With a particular interest in foot and ankle surgery, he developed his knowledge and skills in this field as head of clinic at the HFR. Completion of a specialized diploma (DIU de chirurgie du pied et de la cheville) and a fellowship in France enabled him to broaden his experience in both theory and practice. On his return to Fribourg Cantonal Hospital, he took up the position of physician in charge of the foot surgery team.

Today, Dr Barbier practices at the Clinique Moléson in Bulle.

Through the Centre Pied/Cheville - Bulle, he offers consultations dedicated exclusively to the management of pathologies of this anatomical region. These include

• toe deformities such as hallux valgus (or "bunion") or claw or hammertoes
• ankle injuries (sprains, instability, arthrosis)
• tendon injuries such as Achilles tendonitis or plantar fasciitis
• forefoot pain such as Morton's neuroma.
