Dentofacial orthopedics, often referred to as orthodontics, is a specialty of dental medicine. Its aim is to assist, stimulate and guide jaw growth, the positioning and alignment of permanent teeth, and their interlocking (occlusion), so as to achieve a functional, long-lasting and harmonious masticatory system in adulthood.

Dr. Tho DANG practices dentistry and orthodontics in accordance with SSO (Swiss Society of Dentists) tariffs: consultation, diagnosis and orthodontic treatment.

With a dental surgeon's diploma from the University of Paris, Dr. Tho Dang practiced general dentistry before limiting her practice to pedodontics (dental care for children). She then pursued a selective four-year university course in orthodontics in Paris, becoming a specialist in dentofacial orthopedics and orthodontic treatment.

In 2008, she obtained a post-graduate certificate in dental materials technology, and in 2011 further developed her skills in dentofacial orthopedics in Lyon. Her thesis focused on obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSA) in adults and the contribution of ortho-surgical protocols to its treatment. Since then, Dr. Dang has worked in multidisciplinary collaboration with various specialists: speech therapists, pulmonologists, ENT specialists, maxillofacial surgeons, etc. She also focuses on the prevention of sleep-disordered breathing in children and adolescents.

She is also author or co-author of scientific articles published in the Revue d'Orthopédie Dento-Faciale, and is a regular speaker at orthodontic and maxillofacial surgery conferences.
