Dr. Katja Degen 

Dr. Katja Degen, M.D., is an FMH-certified specialist in ophthalmology and eye surgery.

She has been the owner and director of the Degen Eye Clinic since 2006.

She has many years of clinical experience (including years of training as a resident at the University Hospital of Zurich and as a senior physician at Triemli Hospital, where she received surgical training).

She has performed over 6,000 cataract surgeries independently (as of 2026).

Personalized and honest care with a healthy awareness of costs is important to her.

She explains complex medical concepts in a pragmatic and easy-to-understand way.
