Dr. Karin Gassmann is working in an ophthalmology practice since 2008, gaining many years of experience in outpatient, conservative, and surgical patient care. She studied human medicine at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany. She then completed her ophthalmology training at the Berlin Marzahn Eye Clinic and the Ophthalmology Department of the University Hospital Basel. She subsequently worked as senior physician at the Ophthalmology Department of the Cantonal Hospital Winterthur. In 2007, she obtained the German and European specialist titles in ophthalmology (FMH/FEBO recognition) and, in 2013, the Swiss subspecialty title in ophthalmic surgery (FMH).
