__Dr. Dimitri Baeriswyl, Ophthalmologist Surgeon__, treats patients for medical and surgical ocular pathologies.
Originally from the canton of Fribourg, he completed his medical studies at the Universities of Fribourg and Basel, with academic stays in Berlin and London. After obtaining his federal medical diploma in 2012, he worked in a pediatric hospital in Nicaragua, then in surgery and anesthesiology in Zurich. He continued his training in ophthalmology at clinics in Lucerne, Lausanne and Neuchâtel. An FMH specialist in ophthalmology since 2021, he completed his surgical training in Neuchâtel, Valais and Bern.
Ophthalmology is the medical specialty dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of eye and vision diseases. It includes eye examinations, screening for ocular pathologies and, where necessary, surgical interventions.
