Dr. med. univ. Robert Weiterschan 

Born in Salzburg (Austria), he completed his studies in human medicine in Innsbruck, Tyrol. After completing both his general practitioner and specialist training in gynecology & obstetrics in 2005, his medical career as a gynecologist took him from the Rosenheim Clinic in Bavaria through Austria and Germany. During this time, he worked in clinics focusing on cancer treatment (surgical/conservative), pelvic floor disorders, and extended care, until he spent a year in 2010 as a Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the beautiful Southland of New Zealand. In 2016, he came to Switzerland, where he worked as a senior physician and most recently as co-chief physician of a regional hospital. Dr. Weiterschan has been with Arzthaus since February 2023.

He offers the full spectrum of gynecology, from annual check-ups, questions about various forms of contraception, concerns or uncertainties about hormones, to pregnancy care. He places particular importance on a trusting relationship with his patients, their well-being, and women's empowerment at all stages of life. His focuses include pregnancy care, treatment of menopausal symptoms and involuntary urine loss, as well as providing neutral second opinions on planned surgeries or other concerns.
