I am a committed, respectful, and reassuring individual, with a remarkable background in the medical and social fields. Originally from Egypt, I obtained Swiss nationality in 2020, following a long academic and professional journey that allows me today to provide attentive and high-quality care to my patients.
Education and Professional Background
I completed my medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, where I also began my specialization in gynecology and obstetrics. Upon my arrival in Switzerland, I joined the Cantonal Hospital of Fribourg, thanks to the invaluable support of Professor D. Stucki. It was in this institution that I completed most of my training and obtained my specialist title in medical and operative gynecology and obstetrics.
My particular interest in urogynecology led me to obtain surgical training and a diploma in pelvic floor disorders in Nîmes, France, in 2012. This field remains one of my core competencies, which I continue to develop and offer to my patients.
Professional Experience
After a brief period as a chief resident at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG), I was appointed in 2013 as chief physician of the gynecological service at the Hospital of the Bernese Jura, and later became the head of the Women-Mother-Child department within the same hospital, which is now part of the Arc Network. I held these key positions until the end of September 2024, further consolidating my expertise in the comprehensive care of patients and in managing hospital services.
Medical Practice in Villars-sur-Glâne
As a resident of the Villars-sur-Glâne commune, I recently decided to continue serving the community by taking over the medical practice at Cormanon Centre. This allows me to stay close to my patients while offering personalized and high-quality care.
