Ms Anna Lena Günther 

Dr. med. Anna Lena Günther is a Resident Physician in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Frauenzentrum Bern of Lindenhofgruppe AG, where she has been working since May 2025. Her medical background includes clinical experience in gynecology and obstetrics, visceral surgery, general surgery, and internal medicine.

Gynecology and obstetrics focus on women’s health throughout different stages of life. The specialty includes preventive gynecological examinations, the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the female reproductive system, contraception and family planning, as well as medical care before, during, and after pregnancy. Depending on the individual medical situation, consultations may also involve diagnostic examinations, ultrasound assessments, and the evaluation and treatment of a variety of gynecological concerns.

Before joining the Frauenzentrum Bern, Dr. Günther worked as a resident physician in gynecology and obstetrics at Spital Burgdorf from 2023 to 2024. This position allowed her to further develop her clinical experience in the care of gynecological and obstetric patients.

From 2022 to 2023, she worked as a resident physician in visceral surgery at Spital Tiefenau. Her experience in a surgical discipline complements her work in gynecology by providing additional clinical exposure to the diagnosis, perioperative management, and treatment of abdominal conditions.

Dr. Günther completed her medical studies at the University of Cologne between 2014 and 2021 and passed the German State Medical Examination in 2021. During her practical year, she undertook clinical rotations in surgery at Spital Zweisimmen, internal medicine at Klinik Arlesheim and University Hospital Cologne, and gynecology at Diakoniekrankenhaus Freiburg.

In 2022, she also provided voluntary medical support to a cardiac rehabilitation sports group at the German Sport University Cologne.

Dr. Günther completed her doctorate in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on the development of the German version of the Stanford Integrated Psychosocial Assessment for Transplantation (SIPAT) and on psychosocial and physical long-term outcomes in recipients of living kidney donations.
