Ms Anita Rietschin 

Dr. med. Anita Rietschin is a Senior Physician in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Frauenzentrum Bern of Lindenhofgruppe AG. She has been working at the Frauenzentrum Bern since 2023 and has held the position of Senior Physician since March 2026.

Gynecology and obstetrics focus on women’s health throughout different stages of life. The specialty includes preventive gynecological care, the assessment and treatment of conditions affecting the female reproductive system, contraception and family planning, as well as medical care before, during, and after pregnancy. Depending on the individual situation, consultations may also include diagnostic examinations, ultrasound assessments, and the management of gynecological or pregnancy-related concerns.

Dr. Rietschin has gained broad clinical experience in gynecology and obstetrics at several healthcare institutions in Switzerland. From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a resident physician at Regionalspital Emmental in Burgdorf. She subsequently continued her specialist training at the gynecology and obstetrics practice of the Frauenzentrum at Lindenhofspital Bern and at the Women’s Clinic of Kantonsspital Aarau.

In 2023, Dr. Rietschin joined the Frauenzentrum Bern as a resident physician. She became Deputy Senior Physician in 2025 before taking on her current role as Senior Physician in March 2026.

Dr. Rietschin studied human medicine at the University of Bern from 2011 to 2017. During her medical studies, she completed a two-month clinical placement in gynecology and obstetrics in La Marsa, Tunisia, providing her with additional international clinical experience.

Before studying medicine, Dr. Rietschin completed a degree in psychology at the University of Bern, with a focus on occupational and organizational psychology. Her academic background also included a semester abroad at the University of Bologna in Italy. She subsequently worked for Swiss Post in organizational development, diversity management, recruitment, and HR marketing before pursuing her medical career.
