__PD Dr. med. Yulia Valko is a specialist in neurology FMH and has rare expertise throughout Switzerland in the field of dizziness and balance disorders.__
She grew up in Uzbekistan and completed her medical studies in Tashkent in 2003, where she subsequently completed her specialist training in neurology until 2006. She obtained her Swiss medical degree in 2010 and completed her doctorate at the University of Zurich in 2012. Yulia Valko holds the SGKN certificates in electroencephalography EEG and electroneuromyography ENMG and has been an FMH specialist in neurology since 2019. Most recently, she worked as a senior physician and head of the gait laboratory at the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Zurich (2020-2023). In addition, she has always been scientifically active, including as a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvad Medical School in the Jenks Vestibular Physiology Laboratory, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary (2011-2012), published in renowned journals and was finally awarded the Venia Legendi for Neurology by the University of Zurich (2023).
