Dr. med. Michael Wernz

Dr. med. Michael Wernz is a specialist in neurology FMH and an experienced clinical specialist in stroke, stroke care and vascular diseases. He has been a trainer for neurological ultrasound diagnostics since 1998.

Dr. Michael Wernz studied medicine in Padua, Freiburg im Breisgau and Rome and completed his training as a neurologist at Freiburg University Hospital. After completing his specialist training, he headed the Stroke Unit (stroke center) and the ultrasound laboratory at the Ravensburg Clinic for Neurology and Neurophysiology for many years. Dr. Wernz is a proven specialist in neurovascular ultrasound diagnostics and electrophysiological diagnostics (EEG, EMG, ENG) and has been an instructor at the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM) since 1993. He is also a certified user of botulinum toxin for neurological diseases.

In addition to his broad clinical training in research, Dr. Wernz has supervised important European studies (ECST, Höchst, ECASS and ACST studies) and is a member of several neurological societies.
