Dr. med. Ilijas Jelcic 

PD Dr. med. Ilijas Jelcic is a specialist in neurology FMH and a specialist in multiple sclerosis and other neuroimmunological diseases (neurosarcoidosis, MOGAD, NMOSD), autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in multiple sclerosis, neuroinfectious diseases (PML, neuroborreliosis, TBE, etc.), cerebrospinal fluid diagnostics, diseases of the peripheral nervous system, stroke, and general neurology.etc.), cerebrospinal fluid diagnostics, diseases of the peripheral nervous system, stroke and general neurology.

Dr. Jelcic studied medicine in Heidelberg, Germany, with stays abroad in Croatia and Ireland. He completed his training as a neurologist in Hamburg, Germany, and Zurich. From 2017 to 2022, he worked as a senior physician and was head of the MS transplantation consultation, head of the cerebrospinal fluid laboratory, head of the neuroimmunology consultation and head of the neurological day clinic at the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Zurich. In this role, Dr. Jelcic has introduced numerous young colleagues to the field of neuroimmunology, neuroinfectiology and cerebrospinal fluid diagnostics, where he is also scientifically active and closely networked at both national and international level. Dr. Jelcic also set up an outpatient neurological consultation for COVID-19 at the University Hospital Zurich, where a large number of patients receive interdisciplinary care. PD Dr. Jelcic has given numerous lectures on multiple sclerosis, neuroimmunology and neurovirology at national and international neurological congresses.
