CuraMed Ärztezentrum 

The CuraMed Medical Center in Hergiswil am See is located at Seestrasse 49 and brings together various medical specialties under one roof. Services include general internal medicine and family medicine, pulmonology (lung medicine)—including sleep medicine and sleep apnea evaluation—as well as allergology. Additionally, dermatology (skin medicine), foot and ankle orthopedics and surgery, phlebology, as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture, and massage.

Family medicine encompasses the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions, as well as preventive care.

Pulmonology (respiratory medicine) focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the respiratory tract and lungs, such as bronchial asthma, COPD, or chronic cough. The affiliated sleep medicine department conducts comprehensive evaluations of sleep-related breathing disorders—particularly sleep apnea syndrome—using modern diagnostic methods (e.g., nocturnal polysomnography). Allergology complements this range of services through targeted testing and treatment of respiratory allergies (such as hay fever or house dust mite allergy) as well as food intolerances.

Dermatology deals with diseases of the skin, hair, and nails, as well as, among other things, skin cancer screening, allergy evaluations, and minor dermatological procedures.

Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Surgery focuses on the specialized diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the foot and ankle. This includes conservative treatments, the evaluation of joint and muscle complaints, as well as orthopedic and traumatological treatments.

Phlebology deals with diseases of the venous system, such as varicose veins, spider veins, phlebitis, and thrombosis. In addition, the medical center offers treatments in the fields of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture.

The medical team includes, among others, specialists in general internal medicine and general practice; Dr. Marcus Hesse, MD, for pulmonology; Dr. Gunther Jacoby for dermatology, Dr. Dominic Rigling, a foot and ankle specialist, and Dr. Martin Jenzer for general internal medicine and phlebology.

The CuraMed Medical Center is open Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., as well as on Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The practice can be reached at 041 630 26 67 and curamed@hin.ch. Parking is available at the medical center.
